Ruth Lillegraven (b. 1978) comes from Granvin, a small community in the west of Norway, and now lives just outside Oslo. Lillegraven made her debut with the collection of poems Store stygge dikt (Big bad poems) in 2005. Since then she has published one novel, four books for small children and the poem collections Urd (Urd), Manilahallen (The Manila Hall), Sigd (Sickle) and Eg er eg er eg er (I am I am I am). For Urd she was awarded the prestigious Brage Prize in 2013, and she has also received three other prices and been nominated for several. Sigd (2016) will be published in English by Seagull Books, India, in 2018
