Sigrun Höllrigl (AT)


Sigrun Höllrigl b. 1966 in Innsbruck, Austria. Sigrun Höllrigl studied literature and philosophy at the University of Vienna (MA in philosophy). She worked as a research fellow in Germany and Austria. In the upcoming internet era Sigrun Höllrigl published the first art e-zine in Austria and worked as a media artist in Vienna. For her project Computer Communication & Prison she achieved international press resonance in 1998. After ghost writing she went to IT business for many years .In 2008 she went back to arts founding the artist community Art Visuals & Poetry. Sigrun Höllrigl directed the first Poetry Film Festival in Austria. Since 2013 she is the head of the Poetry Film Festival Vienna, which became the second largest Poetry Film Festival world-wide. As an artist, she has directed and co-directed several poetry films, which were screened world-wide. Beside that she follows her own literary work writing essays, novels, poems and newspaper feuilletons. In April 2015 her first novel Odysseus X was published by edition keiper, Graz. In 2016 she published her second novel called Das Lager/The camp in the edition keiper, Graz.
